Something unusual I saw one day

Cats are roaming around the estate of our houses daily. It is very common to see them purring, meowing and even fighting. However, I rarely see any injured or even dead cats around the estate. Yesterday, I saw a very unusual sight while walking home, so unusual it was terrifying. There is a very big drain at our estate used to store and deliver rainwater to prevent flooding. There are litters thrown by inconsiderate people into the drain. This was a common sight. However, when I was walking home past the drain yesterday afternoon, something caught my eyes. I saw some "black stuff" which I could not tell from far away. I ran home as quickly as possible to get my mini pair of binoculars. I raced back down to take a look of the "black stuff" and " Oh my God!" Its a dead cat with blood bleeding profusely! It was gruesome as I nearly puked when I saw it. I realised that the cat could have fell into the drain and because of the great height, died instantly. But recently, I read an article in the newspaper that the number of cats been abused had rose. Is it possible that the cat had been abused? When I turned around to head back home, I realised that a lot of people were looking at the cat and chattering among themselves. Poor cat...

Till now, I feel that animals have feelings like us and we should do our very best to protect them. The environmentalists are trying their very best to protect the forests and wildlife while the least we individuals can do are to stop abusing the animals. I feel sorry for the cat and angry to whoever responsible for its death. The next day which was today, I did not see the cat again.

Thinking about the poor cat again. Maybe I should create a funeral for it. May you rest in peace.
