A moment spent alone doing something I enjoyed:)

Number one thing: I'm not emo.
Number two: I was alone that monday because no one was there in my SECTION!

Okay you might be wondering what I'm talking about. Well, you should know that my cca is Chinese Orchestra, CO for short. I play the Yang Qin, a kind of instrument that is shaped like a trapezium, which has 144 strings on it. It is also known as the Chinese Piano.

That day was the eighty-third day before the start of SYF, and I was alone because my seniors were all having either a HCL mock test or critical inquiry. Thus, I sat alone in the CO room playing my instrument. This is the moment I enjoy most alone...other than listening to music of course.

Playing music is a way of relieving your stress caused by all the work your teachers give you. It is a form of relaxation, like an anti-stress pill given in the form of something in the real world. Everytime I am practicing my instrument, I will always choose higher level songs so as to improve my standard of playing. If you don't already know, VSCO is one of the most successful COs in Singapore, as we have scored 5 golds consecutively:)

As I was saying , I like to play my songs alone as no one will come and disturb me when I am playing. And even if I play any mistakes,  nobody will be able to tell as I'm the only one playing!:) But sometimes, my instrument has its drawbacks, as whenever the strings break, I'll have to tie back the strings and tune it. Sometimes, the strings refuse to cooperate, and will end up moving out of their assigned spot. Most of the time, I will get frustrated, but when I hear perfect notes at the end of it, I'll beam with pride. Looking at my instrument sitting there ready to be played, all the painstakingly efforts seem worthwhile:)

Anyways, my instrument and I have gone through many concerts together, played a handful of songs, and enjoyed moments alone. To me, my instrument will always be the most perfect one for me, no matter what others might think.

"It is not what others think, it is what YOU think."
